Kids Rock Free® Educational Program

The Fender Museum of the Arts Foundation currently offers professional caliber performing arts education and instruction to children, ranging in ages from 7 – 17 years old, through the Kids Rock Free® Educational Program. This program provides free and low cost musical instruction education including piano, guitar, bass guitar, vocal performance, drums and combo band.

Classes are scheduled in sessions that range from one to one and half-hours, one class session per week, for a period of eight weeks. Class offerings will be expanded to include many other forms of the performing arts including orchestra, violin, Mariachi, dance and theater. Coinciding with the expansion of the youth programs, an adult education program will be offered on a fee basis.

There is currently a two-year waiting list for beginning instructional programs, so it is highly recommended that interested participants complete a Student Application and sign up early. Museum staff will notify all individuals when class space becomes available. Students who can read music may audition for possible openings in existing classes.

Since 1998, The Fender® Center, a not-for-profit organization, has been providing free and low cost music lessons to children between the ages of 7 to 17. 600 students each week receive music lessons in Piano, Guitar, Bass, Drums, Vocals, and Combo-band.
